Excellent stuff Koppi.

I went there some time ago. Very poignant with the John Steele memorial draped over the church.

A parachuting friend of mine shook hands with a ninety four year old English paratrooper at Pegasus bridge yesterday after the guy had done a tandem jump. Ninety four!

Very moving

Best wishes,

Chris

Hi Chris,

ahh. Yesterday I read something about that tandem Jump of the two veterans. Great.
Two friends of mine met also a Veteran two days ago, Arnold Ray Lambert. He was very, very polite to them. In my opinion that's not easy for a veteran, facing some germans there. For me as a german always a strange and oppressive feeling.

What an incredible display! Thanks very much for posting this.

That model depicting the parachute drop is fabulous.

Hi Koppi.

Nothing to worry about.

Your parents chose which side you are on and the state then tells you where you are going.

I have dived the underwater battlefield of Normandy and have seen Point du Hoc from the bottom and the top.

When I said to a veteran ‘ I do not know how you did it’, the reply was, ‘ we had no choice’.

Old men make wars and young men fight them.

Best wishes,

Chris
