Elf archer

Posted by PhilC on 25 Sep 2018, 22:00

Hi everyone! I've just finished to paint a Galadhrim (1/72 mini by Caesar), an elf archer looking like the troop sent by the Elves to help King Theoden during the siege of Helm's Deep (in Jackson's movie, not in the book by JRR Tolkien).

This one is a test, to see if the color scheme is convincing - please tell me what you think of it.

The archer alone:

The archer aiming at two Uruk Hai invaders (Dark Alliance minis):

Yes, It is the time right now.
They meet each other to pick apples, right?
The two nice paint guys with her long metal stick and protection helmets against falling apples are ok.
But the one with the harp like thing. How can he pick up the apples at the tree?

The colours look fine, I especially like the way you've painted the armour.

The painting looks fine, but I agree with Wiking that the bow look more like a harp. Though it is easier to put string on a bow than a harp in this scale. The Uruk Hai looks pretty small, but the paint is good here too. And I definitely think they should pick apples! It is an apple year, at least here! :-D

I think the color scheme is very convincing, PhilC. Great work on this fantastic figure from MiniKnight/Caesar Miniatures.

Best regards. :-)

Santi.

These look great. The archer's undercloak patterning is terrific!

Hum, I'm afraid this number exceeds by far the production of this very confidential Caesar set. Too bad, it was a great idea
