Nationale Figurendag (NL) 08.09.2018

Benno and I did join the first "national Figures day" in a old fortress near Utrecht (NL)
Of course our goal was promoting our hobby and FIGZ.
The fortress is a museum, and it was on national open monuments day.
The visitors where members of the Dutch Figures association, but also regulair museum visitors.
There where shops, for buying figures and books.
A plezant day it was.
I didn't make much photo's, but on the bottom of the site from this day, you can get a impressum.
From our forum there where also Pieter displaying his figures, and Martin with his shop.

Not sure, It was a try out and i guess it will be organized again.

I agree with you.
It is always nice to see young people doing our hobby.
I have two sons myself but unfortunately I lost the fight against the Playstation and X-Box.
And at the events there are also too few young people.
Only older ones.
And gray-haired grandpas.
Like me.
But I hope the youth will eventually find their way back from the shit phones to true creativity.

Yeah that was nice, but it was open monuments day, so a lot of visitors don't do our hobby.
I hope my words did good on our young visitors, and bringing my Asterix figures did help a bit

It seems like nice place to be. But next year you should treat figures in more humane way:



If figures should be caged, we require some better standards (more cage surface, food, water etc.). Otherwise we'll send you PETA for figures next year
