Well this was a duel worth waiting.
In my list I had placed "cancelled duel" because it keeps getting a later entry.
Even had switched a duel, but that didn't help.
But finally hee it was, two nice painted models I must say.
And the winner is, Mr. X well done!
He was up against David (ildfus mahler) who did a nice job also.
A shame just 15 other voters clicked on the button, hopefully next duel will have more votes.
Guys thanks for dueling, it was fun again!

Congratulations to both painters. I vote for David, But the pictures of fabulous Mr.X shows much more of his figure. So, well done.

Thanks, everyone! I am really happy to see that Mr X won. Of course, normally I would have liked to win, but this time I am glad that Mr X did it - I put his (and Remco's) patience to too great a test. Sorry, also, for the "meh" pics. I did not have my camera with me and tried to do the figure justice with my cell phone...

So, congratulations to Mr X for an excellent duel and a well deserved win! Thanks for your patience. Keep up the great and steady work!

Best, D.

Very nice duel here. Maybe some of our usual voters missed this one because of the topic title.

As for David's entry, I do not think his photo is "meh" whatsoever. As always, his paint work and photography are art, pure and simple. Maybe some voters liked the entry of Mr. X because of the bright colors.

Last comment--the figure is pretty flat. He is using a ramrod to load his musket, but he is looking straight ahead and cannot see what he is doing!

Nice figure, great entries, fun duel. I voted for the loser as well: wonderful shading, nice pic. I see the red trousers made a difference here
Congrats to both contenders!

So few votes for such 2 excellent entries. That's real shame.
Thank you both for dueling and congratulations.
