My dear friends,
some of you may thing that it is too early for this post, but the reason is that early this year I faced some major health problems. As soon as I could model again I started this dio, something I wanted a long time ago, with the thought: Now that you can! ..... But I've finished it now and do not want to wait till Christmas to post .

There is Facebook group called Nativity scene builders. They're active whole year. So, no, you're not too early. Where did you get such beautiful figures in 1/72?

Work is beautuful, btw. Like looking ad 3d printed artistic paint.

The figures are Hecker Goros KSHG 240, the animals are Preiser exept the donkey which is a modification by me, of the Atlantic one. Also the standing camel is the Airfix one with some extra cargo.
Extra figures than Hecker Goros set are:
1. the villager with the red robe and the amphora, which is a modification of a Fredericous Med007 fig.
2.flying angel is a redused 28mm Reaper miniatures with an Alex's face
3. standing & talking angel is a Nikolai medieval monk (med07) with an Alex's head (VA103KnightlyLife) and wings from a 54mm Historex dead duck.

Oh I find something I am not so impressed.
These winged things. It is too tacky for me.

It is a typical model from Kostis.
The painting of all figures, and the groundwork.
Several segments of figures reduced or trimmed to refine it so well.

You do a high variation of model theme. That is rare in this forum.
Your own history, policeman, ancient ships, steam ship. and now this one.

It's never to early to see a scene made like this! You're shading of the figures is a joy to see. The shepherd with the fleece coat in particular is beautifully painted

Well, it's not long after the "Christmas in July" thing they do here in the Southern Hemisphere so no problem with the timing.

This is quite beatiful Kostis, I'm happy to see it now and I think you should post it again at christmas time.
As Marvin said your shading is exquisite, I see real animals and real people wearing real clothing and I can't take my eyes off the baggage on the kneeling camel . Scenery and composition are perfect too. Like Wiking I'm not so keen on the flying Angel but I love the standing Angel and think it fits the scene perfectly.

I do hope your health problems are behind you now, it's good to see that your painting hand and eye are as good as ever.

First of all, Kostis, I'm happy that you have regained your health. This is the most important thing.

Having said that, what can I say of your diorama? Just that it's another masterpiece, as always, with lot of detail everywhere.

I'm sure: when I grow up I want to be like yoy.

dear Kostis, again a magnificent work, every figure and every detail is a jewel for the eyes.
These figures (in reality they are not figures but characters and you have managed to get everyone to play their role in the dirorama) they are mounted and painted with your usual quality.
These angels are impressives!!
And about Christmas, all year should be Christmas. If we lived every day with the same spirit that we live on Christmas day we would have a better world.
I hope that your health is well and that we can see your work for many, many Christmases.

I have to admit that sometimes I focus on something and I lose many others. My main goal with the flying angel was to reduce an existing good model, but the wings of the reduced figure were not that good and I did not even notice it.
