Thank you all for your interest 8) 8)

Here is just a small update. These are the 1st KGL Hussars. I still need to paint their horses and boots, but you get the idea :-D

AB cavalry figures come with their saddles sculpted on. It is a clever idea because then only a few horse models are needed to provide for the whole range of miniatures, but then again, they do look funny at this stage.

I would like to see them in a more close-up picture. They look really good.

Thanks, MABO.
Sorry for the long pause - I've been busy working on a PhD :read:

I have finished the Hussars and added a few more Cacadores. At the man:figure ratio I'm working with, the Portuguese units should have a few more figures than the British ones.

I have also taken some better pictures to summarize everything I've done so far.

Best regards.

Wonderful painting, which is just what these lovely figures deserve. Splendid looking troops and all full of character.

I do like to see British husssars in busbies and I love the expression on the face of that elite squadron dragoon, there's a man who really believes he's a cut above. :-)

Those are really fantastic nappies, Ben Bob. But you should write to the sculptor, because they all look a little bow-legged to me.

:D ;)
