I got totally crazy last month..

After watching a nice TV documentary about iconical toys in the 80s (The Toys that Made us, in Netflix, higjly recommended for my 1980 generation) , my child memories blowed up and I could not resist starting this odd conversions.. do you recognise all charachters?

Still working.. more to come soon ..

MotU in 1/72 scale... that's awesome. Sweet childhood memories. It seems I'm a bit younger than Jan

I had a black and white television as a kid, as well. My younger brother was in the sweet spot for He-Man and Skeletor. I also remember watching the cartoon quite a bit.

Love the conversions! After these are done, will you make Thundercats next?

Very nice topic:

I built a huge castle for my son over 30 years ago.
"Snake Mountain" for Skeletor, with trapdoors, dart traps, dungeons and a Trohn for
Skeletor.

Snake Mountain landed on the garbage mountain long ago, unfortunately! But we had all the characters, it was a nice time! For my son and for me!

Brilliant stuff Wolfgang! I fondly recall modeling and painting with my father when I was a young boy. We had nothing as eloborate as your Snake Mountain, but the time spent of both is pure gold. I distinctly recall requesting that he paint our 1:32 WWII Airfix Germans as Africans. He said they wouldn't be, but I insisted anyway. I was probably about 4 or 5. My father died in 2014, but now I have a son nearly four. My son and I have had several quite similar interactions.

I'm even older than Jan, but I also remember these. We had black and white telly, one channel. Still remember when we got Colour-TV. Wonderful figures and great to see Wolfgang's Skull Mountain too!

I see Tri-Klops figure on Wolfgang's photos. Figure that I wanted so much but never had a chance to buy it :(

Oh yes, we also had one b/w tv but also color one already when I was born. And 2 tv channels.

Some further steps, a little shading and highlight still neded here and there, and Beastman still not finished, but they look nice in my humble opinion,

Bad Guys: Beastman, Skeletor and Evil-Lyn
Image

Good guys: Teela, He-Man, Battle Cat, and Man At Arms (not so happy with the last, but he will make the job...)

Interesting fantasy figures and some nice conversions. Although I'm not at all familiar with the subject, the only figures linked to TV shows when I was young were Airfix's "Tarzan" and "High Chapparal". And you had to turn the black and white Telly on ten minutes before the shows started because it took that long for the valves to warm up.

Too bad I missed Evil Lyn though, I like the look of her.

Castle Grayskull on the planet Eternia along with The Masters of The Universe toy figures were gradually bought for my son who was a great fan of The HEMAN cartoons on TV. He also saved his pocket money and bought those little extra figures he wanted. As time passed another two complete castles were picked up cheap in jumble sales along with even more of those large sized figures.

It was a certain kind of emotive magic watching him play along with his four closest friends on the front room floor of our little terraced house in Norwich.

He also collected and played with The WWF WESTLING FIGURES, too.

Most certainly this small scale topic has sparked alive old memories of the 1980`s,
so i thank you all 4 it. BB
