The chimney is definitely narrow.

The wooden floor is a Busch cardboard. I made the wall out of plaster and the chimney out of resin. The fireplace and furnitures are modified Frontline miniatures (terrible quality). The model boat is a scratch from a 1/600 Airfix boat. The tree is a piece from a Noch tree. The chess and its table are mine, using the chess pieces from Alex's set. You have seen the laying dog in my grandfather dio. The Poodle is shrinked from Days Gone. The wooden horse is mine. The kids are a modified set from Alex again. The woman figure is 3D printed from Shapeways under the tag 1/72 figures but heavily modified because it had terrible surface. Finally, Santa was gifted to me from Germania figures through my last Christmas order.

Mr. Andrea wrote:The more I look at it, the more it reminds me of one vignette running now in the painting competition. I may be wrong :eh:

You have commented here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=21306 and I can answer now: You are not wrong. :notworthy:

Fantastic vignette. I personal like the non violent vignettes the most.
There is a lot to see, so much details, a perfect setting!
Well done and a deserved first price in the PC.

Keep them coming!!!

beautiful work!

(if you order at shapeways you have to choose "extrem frosted detail" from the material option button, its more expensive but defenitely worth it)

You didn't see the two children fighting over their presents the next morning!

Yes, exceptional work.

A lovely scene, excellently modelled, beautifully painted and topical.

Lots of wonderful details here but the one special piece of magic that really touched me was the look of the children (and Teddy) listening to a story. :-)

You know what happens when you see something too much good.
That you have no words.
On the other hand, if I had to dedicate myself to commenting on each perfect piece of this vignette, I would need to write more than a thousand words.
You make our eyes enjoy each one of your works.
