Somehow, the first one reminds me of Hellboy :D

The flying helmet is superb.
The second head is by far the better. There's something not quite right about the eyes on the first. I think he did Mick Mannock's trick and learnt the eye chart off by heart ;-)
For a Royal Flying Corps pilot he looks rather old.

I don´t think he represents somebody. He looks more just like cartoon.

Agreed tomikd. There is a touch of " The Joker" about him. You still did a superb job on those flying helmets though.

Incredible painting. The leather is excellent and the flying helmet is just real.

I also prefer the second head, the first one does look like a cartoon. Perhaps a comic book Biggles. The second head, while still the same guy, looks more serious, flying the plane and concentrating on what he's doing.

That's just the model though, the painting of both heads is equally brilliant.
