Yup, officially those are 25mm figures. But I have some Reaper minis and I think they're far too large for that scale.

Sorry for late reply guys.
The first figure above is 38mm.

He is perfect for one of my story book tales. It opens upon the 5th of November 1899.

He is Percy who holds at long last the Journal, that he had long sought to acquire before a certain Mr Glad Grind, did. It reveals secrets of many kinds. Some that could bring down an Empire.
Also others that he cannot comprehend.
Certainly nothing is for certain in the book i have been writing now for well over a year, and nobody within it is a goody two shoes,or even safe from what will befall them.
One thing is there is much more to Dr Percy, and the house he lives in_ than meets the average eye.

And so it is......

Image

....... I have been looking for figures that i can use as characters throughout the pages as they turn.
It is rather hard to fit a style of figure to my brain wave activity, but what follows will be a good start of plunking them in between the quirky lines of this Sci Fi Fantasy World of my making.

Image

Above the powerful aging Glad Grind above whose iced over blue eyes are dimming to blindness,he wants to obtain a certain something, but not at the risk of The Drop! For he will not swing for it. He hires thugs and bullies to obtain it. However nothing is how it seems in the first instance.

Pewter Figures below.
I will check the sizes as they arrive in the mail.

Image

This one i will rewrite certain scenes to accommodate her along with the cats.
It should add a good black comedy touch to the book at that quarter.

Image

Dr Watson........ has to change.
The pistol once used will have to go into the black waters of The Thames!

Image

.... and Sherlock Holmes too.
New identities are in the leading roll bag,as they will be deeply involved in many a plot within the book.

Image

Even i do not know what will lie beyond this door, because i write of that which quickly enters my head well before forgetting it. Thoughts are like that. They scamper away into fast fading lost horizons.

Props needed are already made. BB

Thank`s Marvin. here`s another. Although i will have to convert certain things he is holding.

I find it very hard trying to find good figures that i can illustrate one of my story-lines with.
Gabriel Grubb written of by Charles Dickens a story of Goblins, suits this figure well.

Good choice Paul. That undertaker is on my wishlist for some time now.
Painting light in that lantern would be a real challenge for me.

Well, that's his day job.

it may be just my suspicious mind but, I think, at night he's a bodysnatcher! :affraid:

Wonderful figure anyway, as are the others. And lots of scope for your imagination.

A Theme Develops by Charles Dickens
It is early Victorian times in Britain.

Dickens faces ruin and the horror of Debtors Prison looms ahead for him.
He pens his own reprieve:
a little gold embossed Book containing three short Christmas story`s. It goes on sale in October 1845.
Within its gold edged pages the Humbug ghost story `A Christmas Carol',
`Gabriel Grubb' and lastly `The Cricket In The Hearth, deals with child poverty.
The last two are often overlooked by the many.

GABRIEL GRUBB
A short review by Paul Howes

It is winter a harsh bitter season for most lower working classes.
Within the seedy walls of such squalor a poor widows youngest son lay dying, and the grave digger has no intention of awaiting a respectful time before he digs the grave. So he does so leaving it wide open to the elements.Gabriel the Sexton has no avid wish to work at his planting occupation over the Christmas period of his greedy days.

However his downfall is due to come in this Goblin Tale of Greed and Extreme Terror.

The figure so reminded me of this character and my long days of Dickensian Research.

Hopefully i will return to paint figures sometime soon. However it is a rather shaky tremor at present.

Thank you all for your interest shown on My Latest Purchase.

The bookcase doesn't look that good, Thomarillion makes good bookcases and lose books, but then it is the postage from Germany. The guy in your latest post looks confused! Or even bewildered! And Dali, what are you waiting for? Paint a lantern! It's dark here! And slippery with all the ice!

I have some unusual 28mm dwarfs on the way to be painted for a friend. And a witch and scarecrow to paint for my girlfriend. In other words, no time for that undertaker with lantern :(

It's okay. I can live in the dark a little while longer. Looking forward to see the dwarfs, but more the witch and the scarecrow.

The postage from some German Sellers has climbed ,
but combined postage is the way forward for avid E Bayers.
I have found some Spanish Sellers have the highest for postage,
it being hand rubbing bourne from pure unadulterated greed.
Extra Customs and Excise Import tax on top of postage from the States is crippling!

There will be more than meets the casual eye as the bookcase is customized for a developing need.
The last two figure will become statues of stone and without even peeking at Medusa. BB
