Dixie Soldiers

Posted by Arbogastiz on 12 Oct 2017, 20:41

Hi, this time not Nappies, but I'm still painting XIX c. soldiers :) I didn't paint them as particular regiment, it's rather generic glance at Rebs uniforms.

I'm not that fond of these Italeris, but I love your painting of them! And the variation, which I think was rather common.

Best wishes.

Nicely painted Rebs! Cool thing about Southern troops is the variety of dress in their battle field uniforms.
Keep having fun. Bill

Wonderfull painted rebels, Chris! :-D

One thing, the colors for infantry are light blue, for cavalry yellow and for artillery red. ;-)

Hi Guys, thank you all for good words about my work, appreciate yours support & I'm encouraged to paint another ACW figures :D
Peter, I'm keen on ACW uniforms, of course I know the colors of arms :) Therefore my infantry soldiers have blue collars and cuffs, or left blank in grey or butternut (historically correct). One guy is a dismounted cavalryman, he wields musketoon, not a regular infantry rifle, so he has yellow trimmings :)
Best regards,
Chris
