WW2 - Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf. C in „Against the Resistance“ - DE

Posted by Hellboy on 27 Aug 2017, 18:05

New diorama pictures …

„Against the Resistance“

Yesterday an attack on a railway line. Today an attack on a truck convoy. Once again a success for the French Resistance. The German soldiers are coming too late.

But how to fight an enemy who does not wear uniform? An enemy that can not be recognized? During the day a baker, a waiter or a mechanic, and at night a resistance fighter.

A fight that can not be won for the German occupiers. It is certain, there will still be many losses in the fight against the Resistance.

Have fun. :-D

A very dynamic composition with super conversions, fantastic scenery and a real ' feel ' of the action.

The chap at the gate looks like he is in difficulty but it is probably the camera optics.

Excellent work in my opinion.

Best wishes,

Chris

A dynamic scene. And a colorful grey dusted vehicle. You change the headgear from green to dark grey.
Beside all the nice paint in action figures and the well made vehicle is the sidewalk and the red stone for the fence. That look very realistic. And in combination with the street section a great base composition.
The high camouflage net at front is no problem for the driver. He drive via acoustic I think. Seen at the right fender. :-D

:yeah:

The driver really can not see well. And not just because of the camouflage net. While parking, he ruined me the pillars of the gateway ... as you can see! ;-)

Great composition, a real burst of action.

Realistic figures, a really solid looking vehicle and I love the colouring of the stuccoed gateposts and the stone cobbles. The rusty old nameplate is a nice touch too.

Who needs to see where you're going when you drive something like that? Folks will just get out of the way.

Super work on the Hanomag and troops. The scene has a great feeling of action to it. I like it. The build and paintwork are top notch. The wonderful base work compliments the scene beautifully.
Bill
PS: One question, The in progress photos show the Hanomag with a Balken Cross on the side, yet the final has not got one. Any reason?

The white filled Balkenkreuz was used in the Polish campaign. The story now plays in France. There, the Balkenkreuz was unfilled. I had to fix this.

In the story, the soldiers cover the emblem with mud. You can still see small white remains of the Balkenkreuzes.

I find the camouflaged Balkenkreuz actually an interesting detail. I had never used it on a model before.

Very beautiful work, Hellboy, especially on this small scale.

The all white cross appeared to be too good an aiming point for enemy gunners, so after masking the crosses in the field with mud or paint, less conspicious official variants were developed with a black cross inside the white cross, and later only with a white outline.
