Wow! What a great vignette! Superb painting job! (The "Croat" figures I already knew and own, but I did not know that one can make such a masterpiece from them!) Besides that, I especially like the sheep and the dog!
For Zed Udo Was inspired by this theme and creating a masterpiece, i think represent looting near farms for supplies during the war (similar to a scene of barry lindoln)

I saw the sheep as being requisitioned to help feed the platoon. The sheep don't seem to be aware that they may soon become dinner for the fighting men.
I think this is brilliant, both sculpting and painting.
I am fascinated by the arm-parts of that coat: it looks like there was a third sheep once before, now turned inside out to make that very warm Grenzer coat.
