Isengard's army

I advanced very slowly my army of Saruman. I made 4 trolls. The army began to be important; I miss the bersekers and Dunlendings allies.

Your Isengard army looks terrific. I like how you have used a variety of colors for the armor. It gives a pleasing non-uniformity that adds to the effect.

Did you paint the white hand symbols free hand, or were they modeled on the shields? They look great either way. I suspect they must be inspired by the Peter Jackson film version. It seems to me that the book version of the symbol would have been more finely wrought using advanced metallurgical techniques as opposed to being slapped on. Their creative hand was nothing if not vainglorious.

I did spot one inaccuracy: your Saruman army contains a Saruman! He stayed safely ensconced in his impenetrable tower once the full extent of his treachery was finally revealed. Saruman also kept the existence of the tower's palantir a deep secret, and would have never carried it openly like this figure does.

A small quibble, to be sure. Great work and thanks for sharing it with us.

The big guys look that they do not long discussions.
Very nice paint. :yeah:
The smaller ones are hard to see clearly. They are like a black wall in the sun.

For the shields, the hands were engraved.
For Saruman, as the figurine existed, I painted it.
Thank you all for your review.
