1/48 Brewster Buffalo Diorama "Defenders of Singapore"

This is a 1/48th scale diorama using the Tamiya Brewster Buffalo kit. The pilot is with the kit and the groundcrewman is from Eduard.

The jungle is a mixture of tropical fish tank plants and bits and pieces from the spares box.

Can`t find anything about her in Wikipedia!

In your fist few pic it look like that the pilot want to check with his hand if something come out of the machine gun.
I like that the walk in side (black stripe) for the pilot look more used as the other side. And that the edges of the propeller are in metal color. Too a sign of use.
The wheel of the handcart has some similarity with the one of a German 3,7cm Pak.

Pretty darned brilliant! The attention to details is really impressive, right down to to the exhaust fume streaks on the wings.

Forgive my ignorance on the subject - were Brewster Buffalos much used by the Brits?

The Buffalois were mainly used by the RAF and RAAF in the Burma campaign.

They were totaly outclassed by the Zero and other Jap fighters though.

It was a very brave man who flew into combat in one of those. The Americans called theirs "The Flying Coffin". The version supplied to Britain was even worse.
