Modern - Oshkosh M977 in "Modern Pack Animals” - USA

New diorama pictures …

„Modern Pack Animals“

Modern times, modern pack animals. Now the Dromedary can rest and watch others at work. This is a great life ... until the butcher comes and fresh dromedary sausage makes. Ops ….. ;-)

For the diorama with the 'Oshkosh M977 Cargo Truck' I needed a car jack. With some profiles of Evergreen, etching parts from the crawling box and a small piece of wire, this was done quickly (see last photo). It's always fun to try something new ...

Have fun. :-D

As we can expect from Hellboy a well presentation. With a description, what, where, who is and used.

Very nice "clean" dusty build. :yeah:
It is nice that a lot of stuff is all around. That with different color brake the monotonous sand camouflage of the vehicle.
The discussion scene is very nice. "Do you push the lever in the heat of the day or should I did not do it?"

I like the Dromedary most. I feel so familiar with it.
Is it from Hät?

Kostis Ornerakis, thank you for the great school grade !!! A '+1' I had not even reached in my school time. ;-) Thanks for your nice comment! :-D

Wiking, again a great comment from you. This is good for the soul! :-D

The work on this diorama has been a lot of fun. The many accessories makes a lot of work, but it makes the diorama beautifully colorful.

Wiking wrote:The discussion scene is very nice. "Do you push the lever in the heat of the day or should I did not do it?"

The two mechanics are really arguing about the work ... no one wants to make it. ;-) It's really just very very hot! I also sweated when working on the diorama. The next diorama will be a winter landscape! :xd:

The Dromedary comes from NIKOLAI. The set has the item number 02 ANI 02. Enclosed two links:

I think the animals are very beautifully modeled. :yeah: I like to use them. We'll see more of it .... still a little patience! Soon here in this theater. ;-)

A very nice scene. Interesting vehicle technology in an extraordinary environment, included the message i should let mounting up the summer tires soon. And a camel! Yep, this is entirely to my taste...

Chris, I'm glad you liked the diorama. With the ever growing animals you are right. Just I'm working on an elephant. For the thereafter following diorama I plan a blue whale .... ;-)

Stenfalk, thank you for your kind comment. :-D It's nice that you enjoy it diorama.

However, please note the following important information: the hint to mounting the summer tires is currently only for the Middle East, central Africa and the Maldives !!! Unfortunately, the other must wait a little longer ... ;-)

Very nice, Hellboy! Well built and painted, very nice weathering and a good scene with the camel. You also did an excellent job on scratchbuilding the jack. Very realistic.

But I have one small advice on a purely technical matter: how to jack such a vehicle. To change a wheel the jack would be placed under the end of one of the axles, lifting only one wheel from the ground. Your way of jacking the vehicle would only tilt the vehicle, but leave all wheels on the ground, and destroy the toolbox the jack is placed under. But this only a minor detail on an otherwise excellent diorama

huib, thank you for your kind comment :-D ....... and the note because of the car jack. The two guys had already wondered why this did not work. The two newcomers still have a lot to learn .... ;-)

Seriously, the car lift stands next to the vehicle and not yet under it. You can see it on the 7th picture (upper photo) quite well. One would have to lower the car lift first to get under the chassis. However, the self-construction does not go so far. The two mechanics soon discover that my car jack is not working. :xd:

:eh: Yes, now I see. Sorry for my mistake!
The perspective of the fifth picture, on which you can see the jack best, made me think it is placed under the toolbox to lift the vehicle. Only now, looking more carefully, I see it is standing next to the vehicle.

So your diorama is even better than I thought already! ;-)
