Hello Arek!

Not the classic marching order, but I would really appreciate to have this period in our collection. And a Roman patrol is fine with me, of course. So welcome in this years GB! I am really looking forward to see another batch of brilliantly painted figures from you.

It is time for the bulletin for the Group Build 2017, once more:

We are 19 Members now working on the Great Parade:

Peter, Belgium
Gunnar, Sweden
Dirk, Germany
Michael, Netherlands
Santi, Spain
Sascha, Germany
Paul, Great Britain
Dalibor, Croatia
Erik-Jan, Netherlands
Mai Strac, Italy
Mr. Andrea, Italy / Togo
Marvin Great Britain
PeachPiz, Philippines
Dykio, Netherlands
Konrad, Germany
Michael Roberts
Arekmaximus, Poland
Edwardian, Great Britain
and me, Germany as well.

I would warmly welcome Arek and the Edwardian. Both are working on wonderful figures, I think. And there is a lot of progress. Paul has created a very great number and I am so happy that he painted the Astronauts. The number of British Guards actually starting to walk over to Germany seems to be another kind od Brexit... Thank you so much!

The list is a little longer, but we have not yet assembled 25 painters here. So I hope there are some more guys who will be in the next time.

In the meantime, Zed1 - Sascha - is the first one who sent me his figures:

http://bennosfiguresforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20082&p=220141#p220141

This was really fast and those are really wonderfully painted figures from Art Miniaturen.

So another week starts tomorrow. Keep on painting. and I hope we can add some names on the list and more pictures in the gallery. :yeah:

Yesterday morning I fell off this ship The Groupbuild! I couldn't feel any fun at all, just a lot of stress! Nothing, absolutely nothing, went my way! In the evening I thought I saw a rope hanging on the side of the Groupbuild, and since the Groupbuild is a quite slow and easygoing ship, maybe I can reach it. We'll see! Pretty shallow water too. But I heard there could be sharks so....

Cheer up Gunnar,we all have bad days and so are all Veterans of them.
My advice just leave the painting for a little while and then come back fresh and full of smiles later.
You my friend have heavier responsibilities in life so you need no rope. Take care. BB

I agree with BB. When hobby becomes a chore, it's time to take time out until it becomes a hobby again.

Gunnar, my friend, take a rest! I know what you mean, and the advice of Paul and Marvin is the best you can get! Now and then I have the same feeling and then I just read a book or look at some movies. And after a while the desire to paint comes back! And BTW you have time enough to finish your figures! ;-)

Thanks! I'll do just that! And I have some vacation-figures to paint just to relax. Those Zvezdas aren't really relaxing. They're marching! And all over the place! Sorry for the rant, had to let out some steam. And this is the place to do it. At least a little. So I float on the side of the boat and reach for that rope when the time comes! Ah, there comes my marguerita! Nice! :-)

Gunnar,
I remember the hum drum painter who cut his ear off because he was confused while trying hard to paint Hay Stacks, and Water Lilly`s. Well he found it so hard using blue and yellows.( Your Colours ) He had no one to turn to,whereas there are some good kind friends here upon the Forum. This I know to be the case through personal experience, and you Gunnar, are one of them. BB

MABO, my friend. I seem to recall that a certain enterprising fellow from the USA was going to paint some figs from Washington state c1830s - our Bluefalchion? So perhaps we have one more and from the US too!

Also Giovanni has already posted some photos of his splendid Pommeranian Regiment to the Gallery requesting they be moved to the correct section (presumably the entry ready)?
