WIP Bennos Figures Forum Great Miniature Figures Parade

BB--

The nearest AWI battles were thousands of miles away from my region, which was not a part of the United States until many decades later. But Indian wars were right near by. I could drive down to see Fort Simcoe in about 30 minutes. Google it if you have an interest, I have already launched my initial research to find the differences in uniforms compared to ACW guys from a few years later.

I count you in! And maybe I or another US boy can add some ACW figs for comparison.

Work on rifles and finer details will take place later, when my new brush has worn down to my liking!

Image

So with half of the 1st Battalion with Band nearing completion, i set up the next batch of Marching Grenadiers for undercoating and then painting.
I like to work this way,and by doing so I bring all the figures up for inspection level before working on much finer details.

Image

:-D Work on another Marching Band, will follow later

Image

Everything i need except for a cup of tea,is placed upon my 2nd Table top.

Image

This oblong blue box has enabled me to paint with ease thousands of Napoleonic soldiers over the years. I rest my hand upon it and holding the tin with figure ettatched in the other had i can paint away for hours on end .Yes the little blue box provides a step up from the table, and it works for me. :-D BB

Inspection? BB sounds like a very proud Drill Sergeant!

It's great you're painting so many figures, Paul. I for one salute that trusty oblong blue box. :yeah:

Inspecting the Guards,is one where odd things are spotted and put to rights,
before moving forward to an end. There will be roughly 160+ to be shipped out.

Marvin.
The first day of Combat starts with The Mythical Drill Sergeant!
They all wore the same face as if the Army had cloned them.
Highly remembered by grunts the world over.
Mine laughed his head near off,
upon finding out someone had painted the Regimental Sergeant Majors, Boots all Silver!
My very first special ops calling card.
I was never ever as frightened again as I was then. ;-) BB

As this thread was mentioned to me, I thought I might join the parade.

I have started work on some HaT Napoleonic Spanish infantry.

The figures of the 2nd box of The Guards Band are to be undercoated today, they are surrounded by the first set of the Band which is nearing completion.

I decided not to send the 26 above ,because although painted but not entirely finished, they were far to fragile to send to Jan,but I have replaced them with good solid replacements.

So hopefully four boxes two of each will be finished in 10 days. :-D

Thank you Konrad, for mentioning my quirky use of the old but stylish tins.
Yes to a Fiddle Wood Gnome, that makes complete sense. BB :-D
