French Indian War

Posted by Wolfgang Meyer on 29 Aug 2016, 22:10

The construction of our diorama “French Indian War” in 1/72 scale has begun!

History:

In the years 1754 to 1763 fought the colonial powers Britain and France, backed by Indian allies, for supremacy in North America. He was part of the 7-year conflict war. The war was of great importance for the history of Canada and the United States incurred.

The planned scene:

A French fortress in the wilderness of North America, on the coast. As figures we will use the fantastic Indians from NIKOLAI. Other Indians, French and British troops and the crew of a French frigate will be modeled by Jörg Schmäling of Art miniatures.

Initial work on the underground plates

Yes, Jörg Schmäling will make the figures, french, british and indians for the diorama. And the sailors and seasoldiers for a french battleship with 74 guns.

Great start on a new project!

I will be following this with great interest. It's a period which has very nice uniforms to paint. Pity thomsonfeld isn't around here anymore. He would have loved it to!

I am quite very curious to see the next steps. I am planing also a diorama to the french-indian war, so I can receive some inspirations from your project which will been amazing like all your projects. Only a question: how do you achieve so many big dioramas in astonshingly short times?

Do you know when the Schmäling figures will been issued and sold public? I am interessed in and had planned to customize existing plastic figures. The Art Miniatures of Schmäling will been wonderful alternatives.

Jörg has not begun. We must dispute what figures we need exactly.
If I know it, I'll write it here.
