It snowed in Lome, as you see few weeks ago. It is now melting and vegetation finding his way through the snow. It will be posted soon to Jan and should arrive in time for FIGZ.

I look at some tutorials on youtube, all mixing white glue and baking soda and few drop of water. I tried that and spread the snow on the dio. I didn't like the effect. So I put a thin layer of diluted white glue on the snow and sprinkled baking soda on the glue. The soda foamed up a bit. I let it dries, then covered with matte varnish (the one I use is not really matte). But, believe me, at close distance, it does not look that good. I have much to improve or try another product.

What a great little dio you made! Thanks for sharing your experience with snow.
Also your birch trees (the ADM method) turned out pretty well: very nice white bark and black branches. If this is your first dio, a great future is laying ahead for you.

Yes I noticed that, your woolen cloacks are shining like armour. Is that a specific choice? Like in the 'old school glossy varnish style' for Hinchliffe wargames figures?

It's not my choice, just the varnish not working, despite it is labelled matte varnish. And now I have figures in superman cloak But in real life, it is not that shiny, the artificial light exacerbated the glossy effect. Again: I dream of Marvin's Daler Rowney

That's a neat piece of work Mr. Andrea, and one uses what is available and upon reflection, it along with all the other guys efforts will make that unique roadway quite a success.
