Foot Artillery firing 6 pounder

Posted by McLovin on 17 Feb 2016, 21:59

Hello. I am going to start my collection of figures, and I've been looking for my first unit to paint. I believe I have found it, the Foot Artillery firing a 6 pounder cannon. I do not know how or where to acquire the paints from. I was wondering if there was a list of paints needed for this unit, how to found out the paints that are needed for units in further paintings and where the best place to acquire paints is.

The figures are from Perry's Miniatures. Link is here: https://www.perry-miniatures.com/produc ... ts_id=1887

Welcome to the forum. For Napoleonic uniforms colors you can check this website:

For that period I don't think that uniform color standards were so high. That means you have some freedom when choosing paints. For me Vallejo is 1st choice but I'm not sure if you can get it cheap in Australia.

Psssst Dali, that's the United Kingdom flag, not from Australia. ;-)

Would be very expensive paint, if he had to get it over there!

Never mind, they have the same queen :xd:

@McLovin, I sincerely apologize for my mistake. I know how UK and Australian flag look like.
I didn't looked closely. I meant no offense.

On the bright side, now you shouldn't have problems with getting Vallejo paints :-D

And thank you Peter for correcting me
