The Legions of Rome (ZVEZDA)

Posted by Konrad on 11 Jan 2016, 20:02

To enlarge my Roman army I have recruited Legionaries from ZVEZDA.
For a real great lineup , I have bought five sets . :sweatdrop:
The Centurio, the Optio and the standartbearer later.
I had a lot of figures for Testudo left .
So I made another big " Turtle ".(Scroll down)
And finally, a small clip about the organization of a Roman legion . :yeah:

Hope you enjoy! ;-)

Konrad, how much space do you need at teh FIGZ meeting? This is becoming a very large army. Or should I say Legion? :-D

Excellent work! And I love that turtle!

All the figures are beautifully painted, but those blue shields are just stunning. Cheers!!

Hello, that testudo in blue especially is very impressive. I for one would remember that I had an important engagement elsewhere if it came my way!

Nice work. To me the Zvezda Imperial Romans are still the best in the plastic 1/72 scale range. The blue turtle is my favorite too, because it is unusual large and like so many other visitors of this site I like to see, apart from high painting quality, unusual subjects or excessive objects.

Fantastic series. If I ever decide to tackle the Imperial Roman army, I'll use this as a guide.
