Napoleons Berlin Carriage

Posted by blucher1815red on 10 Jan 2016, 13:21

hi guy's. It's been a long time since I have painted anything through reasons beyond my control, but I am slowly getting back into painting & here is my first piece. It's Napoleons Berlin carriage by Warlord Games, a 28mm metal & resin kit.

Amazing work. I really love it. I have one carriage from Frank Germershaus in 1/72. An older set, but did not managed to assemble it, yet .

Hi Emperor, thanks for the comment, as far as Waterloo diorama is concerned, the project is still very much on the back burner at the moment & is W.I.P. or should I say non W.I.P. I do intend getting back onto it later in the year.

Hi BB, I am slowly getting back into painting again, my main aim at the moment is to clear my bench of unfinished work & sort through all my unwanted figures. I don't think I will be doing much for youtube, I was going to shut my channel down but decided just to delete all my videos as I thought it was getting untidy & there was no continuity to it.

Well blucher,i find it helpful to visit your You Tube site, and have found the painting of brown and white horses most helpful indeed.I believe it to be of benefit to struggling painters like me. So i urge you not to pull the plug on it. Sincerely BB

Hi,

this carriage of Warlord Games is an awesome set (and not the cheapest one).
And you painted it almost like it is a real one!!

This carriage really is splendid blucher and your painting of it is masterly!
If I had to be critical I would say there are a few nasty mouldlines that a quick bit of filing would have taken care of and i think the grass tufts are all just a little bit too regular in height and especially the spacing between them.
However overall I am most impressed and it's just a question of time before yours truly succumbs to temptation

Your criticism is valid KB. It's an ok set to paint & makes a change from just painting figures. I am not a great fan of the Warlord plastic figures, but the metal ones I like.

sit back and re-watch one or two, a very relaxing thing to do after a long day at work{ the Cavalry one with 400+ figs} was my favourite....but all good stuff.
no need for continuity my friend your channel was a HIT with a few of us im sure!

Nice work on that carridge to by the way....would look great on a mantle piece.

Hello, blucher1815red . I loved your video's on youtube and was gutted when they disappeared. The how you paint your 1/72 figures and horses were very good. The carriage is brilliant , great to see you back.
