Thank you to everyone for their kind comments which are much appreciated. I have lots of ideas regarding photographs, but at the moment I am concentrating on the movement and firing phases of the re fight. I have enclosed a picture of Westphalian Landwehr at the Ferme Den Haut, with Ligny church in the background prior to Gerard's assault. Many thanks to Wolfgang Meyer for the wardrobe on the barricade.

Thank you to everyone for their kind comments, they really are appreciated.

The project is re fight, with the original units being replicated as far as possible. To this end their are approximately three thousand Prussians and two and a half thousand French troops present, when fully deployed. The scale is 1 mm equals one metre approximately. The terrain is based on the works of Von Clauswitz, Silborne and following my wife's ( Der Feldmarschall) suggestion, Google Earth, a fabulous tool.

The photography has evolved from a record of events into a project within a
project. One of the pictures shows approximately two thirds of the terrain upto Ligny but it is difficult with my camera to fit it all into one photo. Nevertheless I will try.

I have just completed the next firing and movement phase and hope to post some pictures in the near future.

Thank you all again.

Incredible feat! As to Photos and figures and the way they are arrayed to create mini scenes in the scenery is marvellous. As for the houses ' roofs /shindels, may I ask how you do them? I usually buy 1/87 roofs from the train hobby sector (also the windows and frames - a dirt cheap way to get your hands on 60-70 windows
for 6-7 EIR).
BUT the 1/87 roof length is limited :-(
How do you do yours?

Hello and thank you for your kind comments.

For the roofs I have used Wills oo scale rounded tiles as they are more representative of European roofing. A pantille variant would be good for Italian, Spanish roofs as a contrast. The Railway modelling world is packed with useful items for modellers. Wills also do windows doors,, paving chimneys etc and are available widely in the UK.

For extended roofing, sections glued together and blended with decorators caulk can be used.

I hope that this has been of use and thank you again.
