Hi Peter,I am actually quite an expert on the subject of these Figures, and their names,and___________I am joking!
I went to the Official Dargaud Web Site to get those names, and you are correct in my way of thinking, because there was no reference at all to Sweden, but Gunnar knew the name, and that was good enough for me. I suppose the answers really are in all the old comics from way back in the day,and where you bought them.

To change the subject slightly ,its a pity that Dargaud never produced the Shield Maiden poses.
Now that would have been Cool! As they say.

They did the figures, but not in those poses. BB

Just a few more pictures

I`m working on the fire & iron pot at this present time.So I`ll show the completed set later.

Image

The feet will have repainted on the right one because the blu tac took it off. I left it on the figure a couple of days to long. A something that I will remember on later painting work.

The hand needs repainting, I only noticed the yellow on the photo.

The complete cast on this photo shoot. There are another 12 with work ongoing.
Next on the painting list,`Roman Army & Lucky Luke figures.` BB

Yellow hand? He's been in your paint! You better watch him so he won't do something stupid and get hurt.

Gunnar,Yellow Hand! I like the Ring to that Name. So perhaps he could join my Lucky Luke Indian tribe.I am very short of Red Indians & good names for them too.Well they only ever made 3 in that set. One Toy Chief & two peaceful friendly Braves! BB

Welcome to Quality Control where the Chieftain is testing out a new casting of his shield.

" Feels nice and comfy to stand on,BB has done me proud ."

Image

" Righty Oh! Up we go, Steady lads!"

Image

Wha! Hey! It`s just right for the Job!"

Image

"I could use one of them myself," said the Foxy looking Breton Chief,to the rather plumpish Big Footed Egyptian who had nothing to say,at all.

The three Chieftian Sets can now be finished ,because the new shields are a perfect success, they just need painting, light blue with a white star.

MMMMM! Seems Familiar, and reminds me of the time I sat in the back seat of a Fhantom 2 taking off from RAF Lakenheath Airbase in the winter of 1969. The Pilots name, `Rafael Perez `,Ralf a darn good friend. I was only 20 years of age at that time. Is it true? YIP! BB

The last of the 35mm Gauls & a Few Pirates standing on the steps are all painted now.

There will be another smaller 30mm set of Asterix figures to paint when the 1969 set fully arrives. So I guess they will be placed here on this WIP section too,if that is OK ?

There is a tiny spot of wash to apply to some eyes, and just a few feet need touching up. So just minor details to do. Next work to do is the couple of handfuls of the Asterix Roman Legioaries , and than all the Lucky Luke figures which I have saved till last ,because they are the Top of the Cream, Best!
Thanks for looking BB

Perhaps Peter I need an Ice Cave guarded by Polar Bears to stash my stuff in.
I started painting the Roman Soldiers today, and I hope Remco will be pleased to see E`m all coloured up in my infant, finger painting style! So his Ticker should be A OK! BB

I will have to darken the eyelashes, but for now he will do.
I have another two extra Roman Soldiers with spears to paint up . Well they`ve just got the Gaul to keep marching in. I`ve finished buying them, but they were another free gift. As Remco would chuckle Ha Ha Ha.

Now to the point of posting.

Image

Getafix is mixing a new batch up,because the Roman Troops arrived today. So all the Gauls and their allies can Getafix. How many names has this guy got?

Image

I was asked recently by Mr W U,if I intended to add the TinTin figures to my collection. "Well yes, I am thinking about it," I replied with a Big Grin! "
They cost a bomb! £9.99 to £ 11.99 for one figure. I`ll shop around ,and see what turns up. I just did 2 figures for £5.59 plush £11.89 UK delivery. Who are they kidding? No I will not bother collecting these, not because of the money. I just don't Like E`m that much."More Indians for Lucky Luke, now that makes much more sense," I told Mr Wind Up! __________________BB
