WWI 100th Annyversary Group Build: The crossing

Posted by armpcm on 13 Jan 2014, 00:36

Hi all mates,

Been busy this weekend, but found time to choose my figures for this amazing GB.

So I choose American Infantry from Emhar Set 7209 you can see the review on PSR http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=877 they where a gift from a friend here at the forum upon a trade between us.

Here are the figures, still have to decide wich to use, if all or just one. The general ideia is do a bit of land and a soldier or two crossing no man's land.

So keep tuned for more developements.

Hi everyone,

Here is the 1st update, i took a razor blade and done their "beards" :-D aka flash removal, to be honest they have few of it.

So today they will be washed and primed, and decide to use 2 figures, stay tunned.

Hi all,

Here is the work of the day.

After the trimming of the "beards" e sand them with a water sandpaper :D so they turn out more smooth.

Here thet are drying.

Image

After this a bath with dishwasher.

Image

Another drying.

And ready to be primed.

Image

They where primed, but due to the fact that the bath was not effective  must be from being too long on the trenches, they where washed and are drying right now, and probably will be primed today.

Well tomorrow will be more news from the front.

Base coat of flesh (2 drops of paint 1 of water) of Vallejo Basic Skintone, and a first test of the small base where they will go, the story on Doughboy in the trench after the crossing on a corner in the trench system, the other almost reaching him still finishing his 1k run.
