The next Happy Wargamer!

Posted by Zed1 on 28 Sep 2011, 13:24

Everybody's got one, I've got mine. And you cannot order them on channel nine!

Yeah - finally here's my version of the Happy Wargamer, which was the special gift for forum members and exhibitors at this years' FIGZ convention in Goor.

Really a great piece of art. Thank you Alex for sculpting these great figures and giving them away to us. I hope you enjoy this version. Oh - and Remco: hope this makes you feel a little bit easier. ;-)

And here it is:

Image

The base contains 13 letters which are painted in the flag colours of the countries which have the most users at Bennos' figures forum. Here's a closeup:

Image

The flags are painted from left to right in the order of the amount of enlisted users. So if anyone wants to complain about seeing his countrys' colours to far on the right side (or nowhere at all), don't blame me - bring more figure painters and collectors of your country to our forum!
Er... and to the Aussies, I can only say that someone had to be the 'i'... ;-)

Hope you enjoy it. Peter: please update your list!

Well - look at Remcos list: Russia, 11 members, Belgium 6. Looks like you'll have to make some more promotion for the forum. ;-)

Sasha,

I am verry happy you did decide to paint this guy!
Not only to show Alex how glad we are about this little guy, but also because of the result.
Those flag letters are a suberb idea, and I am impressed about the way you did this.
You did perfect work on this guy, it stands for bringing us together all over the world!
All happy wargameres or happy painters!

Suberb, mate!

Who is next?

You did a great job on the flags! The letters are really small so it should took you a long time to paint it didn't it? Great work!

PS. Will you update the flags when more users register?...

Besides it's a beatyfull idea and a great piece of work, did I actually ever notice your "Personal Flag"?
It's Herten, and that again is pretty much exactly where I grew up ;-)

Best wishes to all of you!

Is it? Hehe - that's great. How about meeting at the next Figurenbörse in Herne?

@Benno: No, no update for this figure. But maybe another setup of flags if next years' FIGZ figure... well... we'll see... ;-)
