WARNING-RED LIGHT-WARNING!
In line with the Title,Mrs B,recieved an E-Mail at 2 am today 20/01/2017, stating that our Virgin Account would lapse within 24 hours because an Error Occurred and Direct Debit Payment was not made possible and that our Internet Connection would be Cancelled Tomorrow 21/01/2017.
The E-Mail looked Officially from Virgin Media, however the Logo at the top right hand corner was a bit misty ! On the Document,an E-Mail Address, to use to Reset Direct Debit Payments Up Again.
Knowing full well Virgin Media,do not send E-Mails to their Customers,Mrs B,contacted Virgin Media, directly on the phone, using the number on our Account.
"You are the 4th person to ring in today, and it is a Scam! "
The young gentleman said at the Virgin Media Customer Service.
If Mrs B,had answered that Scam E-Mail,and given them access to our Direct Debit Account that Account would have been empty within a few minutes of over £5.000 UK Stirling!
Other Joint Bank Account`s we share ,they would have not been able to access.
The thing is to remember, about the SCAM!
IS That They Are Fishing!
They Do Not Know What Provider You Are With.
Their Aim Is To Panic The Gullible Into Action Within 24 Hours.
So Their BANK ACCOUNTS Can Be Ripped Off!
So wherever you are,and wherever you live,
if you receive any Official Looking E-Mail from your Internet Provider,
asking for Bank Details,to Reset Your Direct Debit Account Again."IT IS A SCAM!"
Stay Safe Guys It`s A Cruel World. Sincerely BB
