Warning Latest Virgin Media Scam in UK

Posted by Beano Boy on 20 Jan 2017, 12:43

WARNING-RED LIGHT-WARNING!

In line with the Title,Mrs B,recieved an E-Mail at 2 am today 20/01/2017, stating that our Virgin Account would lapse within 24 hours because an Error Occurred and Direct Debit Payment was not made possible and that our Internet Connection would be Cancelled Tomorrow 21/01/2017.

The E-Mail looked Officially from Virgin Media, however the Logo at the top right hand corner was a bit misty ! On the Document,an E-Mail Address, to use to Reset Direct Debit Payments Up Again.

Knowing full well Virgin Media,do not send E-Mails to their Customers,Mrs B,contacted Virgin Media, directly on the phone, using the number on our Account.

"You are the 4th person to ring in today, and it is a Scam! "
The young gentleman said at the Virgin Media Customer Service.

If Mrs B,had answered that Scam E-Mail,and given them access to our Direct Debit Account that Account would have been empty within a few minutes of over £5.000 UK Stirling!

Other Joint Bank Account`s we share ,they would have not been able to access.

The thing is to remember, about the SCAM!
IS That They Are Fishing!
They Do Not Know What Provider You Are With.
Their Aim Is To Panic The Gullible Into Action Within 24 Hours.
So Their BANK ACCOUNTS Can Be Ripped Off!

So wherever you are,and wherever you live,
if you receive any Official Looking E-Mail from your Internet Provider,
asking for Bank Details,to Reset Your Direct Debit Account Again."IT IS A SCAM!"

Stay Safe Guys It`s A Cruel World. Sincerely BB

As an Aged Fiddle Wood Gnome,I must remain peace loving in practice anyway Mickey,
and let someone else give these Fat-Cat-Scammers a Darn Good Thrashing!
I would of course supply The Cat Of Nine Tails, fully knotted! Along With A Little Reward.

:cowboy: "You need a Bounty Hunter,BB." said the Cowboy who always sleeps in his boots.
 "And Hot Tar & Feathers!"

Joking aside,I wonder how much money these guys have stolen since 2am this morning? BB

Here is part of the Scam! The Set up E-Mail Address to steal your money.
Answering this Mail would be giving them a blank check were they fill in the amount themselves.

The first half of the E-Mail has our details on it, so it would be unwise to place that on Line. BB

I have always favoured impaling ;-) I think it's the surprised expression on their faces.

There are Lowlife People who work for companies who sell on information to crooks, otherwise ones E-Mail Address and name would not appear on Fake Communications.

I have traced one E Bay Trader a likely source of leaking information.Eastern European Based.
That is legally all I can report.

Warning! Do not report fraud on the Internet.
Use the phone to contact your Internet Provider, and use the contact number on your own documentation, not one on view on your PC Screen!
Report on line fraud via the phone to the Police.

Many Official Looking Police Sites on line are linked to Organized Grime & Crime.
They want your details, and can lock your PC, then demand money by extortion.
Its a cruel world these guys live in so please do not venture there.

It is amazing that this Scum can just sit there like a Spider on the Web,
and can operate and get away with it without leaving a money trace. BB
