Image hosting service

Posted by Kekso on 26 Jan 2014, 22:41

Hi guys. I'm using Imageshack as long as I can remember and I was quite happy.
But today I found out that image hosting won't bee free anymore at Imageshack.

Can you recommend some free image hosting sites? I know few but I'd be happy
to hear some recommendations too. Thanks.

Hi D, you can use photobucket. It's still free as far as I'm aware of.

Photobucket and Flikr are almost identical and have a nice editing option as well. All of it is free, but there are bandwidth and storage limits that will be met after years of use.

Photobucket has a clever trick. Not only is the bandwidth dependant on howw many pics you upload but if People look at them a lot they lock the account until your band width has gone back to normal. I uploaded two pics PB a while back, just two at the beggining of a month and due to a lot of traffic they locked all the others, adding the cloaked Money grabbing threat of blackmail, basically "pay and we´ll release your pics" I deleted the pics and went elsewhere.

Thanks guys. Meanwhile I saw that Imageshack is only 1$ per month. But I would rather give that money to this forum than to them.

Exactly why I went to Flikr last week :-D
They were kind enough to e mail me in advance to tell me that I was approaching my limit, so I didn't need to delete anything.
