Bond, James Bond !

Posted by Challenger77 on 02 Jan 2026, 18:12

On my Visit to the Scale Model Challenge in Eindhoven, Netherlands, this Revell Easy Click Kit jumps from the Shelf directly in my Bag... :-D It was cheap and i have no Idea what really to do with it....until at Evenig with Friends in aBar. And the nex crazy Project come to life.

Will make the Scene from ''Goldfinger' when Q presents Bond his new Car, the famous Aston Martin DB 5. So i buy the USCP Upgrades, Engine, Grille and Rims.

First check if the Engine and Compartment fit. Then cut out the Drivers Door and the Engine Hood. Build up the Doorsill and the Doorframe with Plasticard. Added Hinges anda fake Doorlock. Also the Hinges and the Seal for the Hood. Then a bit Filler and Sanding.

This will be another impressive Scene. Beside the improvements on the car I am really curious how the characters in the scene will look like?! 8)

Hi Mabo, i will 3Dprint a Connery as James Bond and Q aka Desmond Llewelyn . And i , as always, I won't slavishly adhere to the scene exactly from ''Goldfinger''. Also i add a Weapontray beneath the Driversseat. This was planned but never show in any Movie. There exists some Replicacars, tha featured this.

I always had a Faible for the here used Mauser C96, especially the ''Schnellfeuer'' Submachinegun Version. So here i will also not be really correct for some Rivet Counters....

Hi Harry.

Great stuff as always.

‘ I never joke about my work 007’.

A great film and an iconic car.

Your research for my project has resulted in a lot of buildings.

More pictures soon.

Best wishes,

Chris

Btw: What is the source for the print? Did you creat a file from a photo? Or is there one, that you can buy somewhere. I am asking you, because someone wanted to have a 3D printed figure based on an historic photo. I have no idea, if this is possible?!
