I think life's more fun if you avoid the arithmetic.

:sst: "those tiny egyptian figures are rarer than bb`s teeth."

:coffee: " Very true little button."

 " They`ve waited over 2.000 years to be painted."

 " What BB`s two teeth?"

:cowboy: " Nar! Gunnars Figures!"

:coffee: "It is also fun writing about them 2. " BB

What we know is that Remco paints one figure a month.
So the question is: "Who paints those other 38 figures?" :eh:

We haven't seen Benno for a while! Is he chained there in Remco's dungeon painting these huge Asterix-figures??? Or is it there all our lost members are???

Many questions! But here is a new W.I.P. picture on the gals! :-D I don't think the bra was invented yet so they don't have any. If the moderators object I can invent a bra for them. Anyhow, Remco was curious how I paint them. They are from from finished, but you'll get the idea.

Gunnar,
I like your nostalgic Astérix figures as well. Saw them before from BB's and Remco's postings.
Why do you write "mild nudity"? Is it to attract old guys such as us or is it to warn of "18+" postings  ? I remind you that Astérix was always being watched by children.

Cheers

It is a little warning since I don't cover the girls' upper parts. Was reminded of watching Asterix and Cleopatra on the telly last Sunday when we travelled through the little village where a childhood friend had a cottage. Spent a week there 1972 and the only place with a telly was the house where they kept the old and senile. His grandmother lived there so we could go visiting her and watch the telly.

Hi Gunnar
honestly, I still remain surprised by the warning. Are we really reaching a level when we risk becoming horny watching tiny cartoon dancers with upper parts uncovered? :P

We'll see how we evolve, but our painting (even mine) becomes better , a lot thanks to the forum. It still isn't realistic enough. Well, when I think of it, there were some Alex miniatures which reached a tempting level. Moreover painted by some of the artists on the scene.

Great fun
Michael

What a wonderful little group! Very nice job on these. The skin tones and armour colour are great and I like the way you've done the dancer's dress and Cacofonix's tunic. :yeah:

One of the Romans looks like he's enjoying the show, the other doesn't look like a music fan at all. Perhaps he's too close to Cacofonix.

By the way, I think it's good to include a warning about mild nudity so that the wowsers who really enjoy being outraged by things don't miss anything. (I don't think there are any wowsers on Benno's but if any do drop in it's good that you've catered for them).

Thanks for the comments! These are quite fun to paint and fun to remember the comics from youth. The warning will stay since we have visitors from all over the world and all kinds of ages. And if one or two have naughty ideas they're going to be quite disapointed. :-D

I remember thinking at one time, because of my bad eyesight, and bad photographs on E Bay, that the girl playing the flute was actually paddling a boat. :eh: "EH?" Now I`m sort of half right here I suppose, because now she looks like she`s paddling a bottle top while wearing a yellow wig. Now wigs a plenty were worn to avoid Lice  and only a silly Nit would care to argue the point. Interesting to read of that TV viewing place Gunnar. In my dotage I`d never dare visit such a place for fear they`d not let me out again. All the Best. BB

Now when she's almost finished I think it looks like she's puffing on some strange kind of pipe. Paddle is much better!

Love the song! And I think it is the only time I've heard the word frolic, except as dog treats. :-D
