On their clifftop retreat they the Gauls seem rather surrounded.
Has anyone ever made any of those Roman Tents? :-D

Unhygenix is looking intently at his favorite slippery spot as it takes on a more slap stick style of painting._________Namely Mine. ;-)

Yes i have started painting this very odious smelling place that is stuffed to the gunnels with all scales of fish. Yes filled to its brim ,but not as much as one Kipper in sight.

He`s handy in a fish fight, and is always caustic to say the least.

Sanding and painting work is still ongoing in spite of other fun time commitments.

Cetautomatix is an expert on music and fish.

See you guys later. :-D BB

Thank you for the Links Peter.
I have an open aired forge i built years ago perhaps i could use that.
Nooooooo! I`ll make another.
So Hamburgerix could use one of these side buildings.
The Roman tents are sort of colored marzipan looking cakes. Well at least to me. BB

Lots of painting done today including these. They were sanded each side and dry brushed yellow. The black was dry brushed in white which highlights to a nice grey. Here in Fiddle Wood there are lots of dead Oak trees that have dried out to a nice aged in the grain grey.
 So the work is still ongoing Remco. :-D BB

I`ve been taking time out from this part of my hobby life style work, but this is one loose end that needed tidying up so to speak. So here goes.......of course other follow up things will eventually catch up and new ideas with them will certainly follow as do leaves driven upon a wind.

My Wattling Fences.

Image

How i made them is on page 9 of this WIP of hot spot trouble for the Romans.

Image

Made yonks ago here on this rather mixed up topic, they have been painted with neat undiluted acrylic Burnt Umber; the cheap stuff in large tubes. Jolly good stuff to plunk ones stamp upon any scratch-built whatever that requires dry brushing. :-D

Image

With most of my figures tidied up and stored out of sight,i placed the reaper bone type figure to set the wattling scale. Hopfully i can add some grass and weedy parts around the stoney ground too.
No painter be i but i try. Yes at 69 i am very trying. BB

:coffee: "However hobbywise i am not, however having totally cleared my table of it ,it is a relief to be well shot of it. " BB
