Peipp Amazonen

Posted by Roland_Kupski on 07 Apr 2017, 16:18

Dear Friends, something complet different. This wounderful figures are sculpted by Helmut Peipp (Dresden), 40mm, in his very special way. They body is painted in acrylics. The body painting is painted with gouches, because they look so "chalky" and can simply be removed. Try to say your opinion: is this too much? I try to show the figure in big scale, so you can see how it is done. The bodypainting was inspired by african tribe woman.

Hei Roland,

this is Something very different. I like it, but I do not know what makes this lady an Amazon.
The body painting does not look very African to me. It looks more like a "Nana" from French sculptor Nicky Saint Phalle. This is not an offense!!
Do you plan a project? Will the lady be part of some project? Are there other figures?
Curious and admirative

Michael

The idea with the Nana is great, that´s the clue for me! Indeed. Its too colourful for a barabarian Warrior Princess. I have to change my mind an to make an decision.
The figures are a group, with foot and horse. roundabout 20 figures. More will follow.
A few of them can be seen here:

So it is. next figure will show a more pale type of skin. The paler the skin, the higher the skil. Its a challenge.
