Thanks for that.

Much appreciated.

I am cracking on with this one as there is so much to do.

It is also turning out to be quite expensive.

Still it will be hopefully worth it in the end.

Cheers

This is the latest update with some more kit bashed figures.

I bought some dead civillians from Ebay which were for some kind of zombie game and have adapted some of them with green stuff and Napoleonic heads to fit into the diorama. I wanted to show the horrors of the retreat and have some ideas of how to use them.

I have sourced some of the trees for my diorama and these will be painted up as Silver Birches.

I have also made some icicles which will be on various pieces of abandoned equipment and wagons. Hope you can see them.

Cheers

Gerry

Hi guys some more figures I have kit bashed with green stuff ect and painted up.

Some of them are quite gruesome but I want to show the absolute horror of this retreat.

There will be several little scenes within the main dioram which I will be using some of these figures for. Such as the dead woman and her partner holding her hand.

The guy lying on his back will be the victim of a pack of wolves with the Chaseure shooting on the horse shooting at them to scare them away.

Just a flavour of some of the ideas I have.

Cheers

Gerry

Very realistic wounds on those figures!

And now we have to wait untill they stand up again! As zombies!

Hi Gerry,

I thought I was cast as Mr gory!

Brilliant conversions and thoughts regarding the horror of this campaign.

The zombie idea is inspired.

Best wishes,

Chris

Thanks for that.

They will be very cold stiff zombies if they do.

A very committed pathway through the snow in this part of your topic. Love it all.

My dog Bella, does perfect little conversions if any figure see`s fit to drop to the floor in way of deserting! There is no court-martial just a darn good nashing by Bella`s tearing apart teeth! BB

Not in your scale Gerry, but a casualty none the less, this conversion of over 2 years ago inspired by Bella chewing up my horses and figures. Ideas come from strange events sometimes. The figure was hot pinned in the end instead of the blu tac.He was brought down by cannon fire, and is one of the little white mice ITALERI, call Scots Greys British Heavy Cavalry. BB

Nice one .

I like the flowing movement of him being chucked by the horse.

Great job.

I like the idea behind this figure. Somehow witty and original. But these are exactly the scenes that happen not only in warlike disputes, but also in everyday life. Fine...

Another update of this mega project.

I have painted up my Wolf pack and have converted some Warlord French Infantry into Portugese Legion troops.

I have finished some more flotsam and jetsom with some wagon loads.

I have also converted some more figures using green stuff and diffrent heads.

The seated young gaurd will be within a wagon with some round a camp fire.

I have made some casualty figures by using some heads from the spares box.

Cheers

Gerry

Beano Boy

I have so many ideas for this one but the way things are going I am going to need a very large base.

Still that is the bulk of the French done the dilema is, do I add some Cossacks attacking the rear gaurd?

Thanks for your kind comments.

Much appreciated.

Hello Gerry.

Brilliant conversions and attention to details. I love the bottles etc.

Do not forget that if you are depicting the Russian winter that exposed flesh will freeze very quickly and protection was paramount.

Also, anyone dead or dying will be a grey colour at best.

The scene from the Duelists film shows the horror of this campaign. You can literally feel the cold.

Keep up the excellent work.

Best wishes,

Chris
