Update Dutch soldiers East Indies
Continued my work on the Bren-gunner. I used some Magic-Sculp to make the Airfix shirt more "bulkier"
The original shirt is too tight to represent the upper part of the overall the Dutch soldiers used in the Indies. I also put a little rolle of MS beneath the belt and added a pouch at the back.
I always paint my models with an undercoat of Humbrol dark grey. That way I can see if the MS blends well into the other parts of the figure and all kinds of irregularities are visible
While the Bren gunner is put aside to dry, I continue on the standing figure.
Rolls of Magic Sculp ( MS) are put above and under the belt to create a more "overall-like"appearance.
The folds in the trousers are not quite like they ought to be for an overall, but I will try to conceal that when I paint the figure.
Murphy's law in modelling: When you almost finished a figure you will discover that there already a nice and correct figure
At the last TWENOT meeting in Breda I got this figure from one of the visitors.
Ah, well....just use it as a reference material. The pose wasn't the correct pose for my idea of the diorama
Next step will be sanding the figure and then painting
