Absolutely beautiful piece of sculpting ( wonder who sculpted it? ) and equally beautiful painting!
There is surely no paint that can better depict human skin than oils when the brush is in the hand of a master painter like you good sir!
Can't wait to see the head attached to the body!!!

Ps/ the catchlight in the eyes is extraordinary!
My only possible doubt is about the two white highlights in his bottom lip. They look a little too linear to me and may I also question whether there might be a little too much colour in the lips! (The older we get the paler our lips become!)

kb, here's some info on the bust, Sang Eon Lee was the sculptor and he also painted the bust in a wonderful way for the boxart photo.
1:72 project's done I'll continue the prime minister.

Best regards ! AG.

This is the current look, I still have to add more contrasts and there still are the stripes of the clothing to do...

Yours truly would be tempted to paint the dots on the bow tie and leave the suit without the pin stripes!
I've just been looking at a load of Churchill photos on Google images and there are more photos of him with a plain suit than a striped one!
Nevertheless most photos show him with dots on his bow tie!
Mind you, that's what I would do........

kb, I will try to paint the stripes because they're a challenge, but I keep your words in mind in case they won't work out. :P

The bowtie will have white dots for sure, it made Churchill's look.

Dad's army, thank you for your kind words, I think painting 1/72 figures is as difficult as this scale. From time to time I like to switch from a bust to something wheeled or tracked mostly in 1/35 scale, but the members on this forum inspired me to give the braille scale a try and I must admit I'm having fun with the IBG Chevrolet C15A too !

Kekso, today I've brushed on more contrasts and later on the coming week I will try to finish up the torso, the stripes will be added in two weeks.
