I couldn't resist the temptation and created a little teaser in the style of a movie poster. You might have noticed that there's a surprise guest I didn't show in the WIP images of the project – that would have spoiled the surprise, of course. The purple guy in the foreground is the monster Python, which lives in the cave. Legend has it that Python was killed by Apollo long ago, but as always with such legends, you shouldn't believe everything you read…
So here we go – the pictures:

As I have described in the WIP thread, the background for the diorama is AI generated, but was printed in poster format on photo paper. This picture gives an impression of the diorama separate from the background:

Okay! I will NOT enter that cave! Good work! As usual! And fun with the connection to your old work about the space Romans. That was a favourite!

Wow, Stephan, after a few weeks of not being able to log into the forum, I wasn’t expecting to come across such a lovely surprise when I finally managed to do so.

The truth is all the effort you’ve put into creating this diorama has been well worth it, because it’s turned out brilliantly.

The excellent paintjob on the various elements, combined with the highly original setting (which you already showed us in the Work in Progress section) and the quality of the photos, creates a superb whole, with an atmosphere that blends horror and suspense. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Congratulations, my friend, you are master. :(

Santi.

Very cool diorama and thank you very much for the top view! ;-)

Creative and funny work. I also like the reference to your other Roman adventure!

Thank you very much, gentlemen!
This project was really fun, and I am glad you like it.
The photos are a kind of compromise: to capture the atmosphere better, I would have liked them to be even darker. But then not many details would have been visible. So I kept these better illuminated versions.

You are right about the details. I think the atmosphere in the pictures is already very dark. For me it's good.

A key source of inspiration for this project was the Alien films, where tension often builds because you sense things in the dark more than you actually see them. But I admit, that’s not ideal when you’re presenting a diorama.
(BTW, has anybody watched Alien Romulus? I'm not sure if it is worth my time and money...)
