DBA 3.0 Anglo-Norman army

Posted by blacksmith on 24 Jun 2025, 18:32

I finished another army and I think I'll stop here for the moment and start with a new project, WWII.
I picked up this army for tournaments as all the knights can dismount into blades (blades or spears in 2.2). The Rochester castle is from Thingiverse; the miniatures from Essex.

I still have to paint a War Wagon General and maybe someday I'll paint it.

With your amazing paintjob, you make Essex's chubby, big-headed, short-legged figures look superb, Javier. :notworthy:  :notworthy:

I finally painted the last unit to complete the army. I was holding it until I could find an appropriate printable figure to represent a painted wooden statue of St. Cuthbert. I also made his banner with a piece of paper and then painted it.

Well, so here you have it, and now the army is completely finished. I'm eager to try this little tank on the battlefield!

Although the entire wagon is wonderful, Javier, my favourite part is the statue of Saint Cuthbert. Despite its small size and colours, it is clearly a statue compared to the two archers that accompany it. Without a doubt, all credit goes to the great artist who painted it. ;-)

Thank you Santi. That was my main concern, to make it look as an statue and not a person. Cheers
