Dulcop - Napoleonic French Infantry - 54 mm

Posted by Peter on 02 Apr 2025, 19:59

I was happy I could buy these two figures in another bunch of old figures. I love the Dulcop figures and I like to paint them now and then. these two were partly painted and I'm not sure if they were factory painted or someone made an attempt to give them some color. I think I may say I brought these two alive with my painting. One of the poses is a bit odd, it looks like he's dancing on the music, but I like them. Hopefully one day I find the other poses to.

I hope you like them.

Looking at the last picture, they look more like a dancing troup than military soldiers. But music is fun even if I am a terrible and STIFF-bodied dancer myself. Great painting up!

I do not want to diminish the skills or achievements of the initial painter in any way, definitely not!, but I have to say that after you have repainted them, these figures look about a trillion times better than before.

Although the look of the original figures is a bit cartoonish, I fully agree with Enrico: your paintjob has improved them greatly, Peter. Well done!

Nice painting Peter. You've done a major improvement on these fellows. I believe that grenadier is at a rave myself but I don't understand dance now, never mind 200 years ago.
cheers,
