32mm Rackham Mystic Warrior

Posted by PhilC on 28 Feb 2021, 16:50

Hi, gentlemen and women.
Besides 1/72 figures, I sometimes paint some larger figures, mostly from the Confrontation range by Rackham. I haven't painted any of them for years, it's time to start again.
Here you are the first of them, painted in January this year.

That guy is an Orc from the Bran-O-Kor clan, a Mystical Warrior. He has the ability to fight and cast spells to his enemies. His blue tattoos are the mark of his magic powers, as is the snake around his right arm.

I've already painted some others of the same tribe, so I'm likely to post other pictures in the next weeks.

Hope you like him :)

Wonderful paintwork. The tattoos really are eye catching.

Thank you very much for your nice comments!

As requested by MM X_BriX and Sprinks on the blog, here you are some pictures comparing the sizes of the Rackham Orc and some 1/72 orcs by Caesar and Dark Alliance.

The large Orc might be used as a Troll (he's big enough), but I think that the difference in the sculpting with the smaller Orcs is too important to bring credibility to this idea. Well, that's my taste :)

Thanks Phil for the photos. I would say they look pretty good together. In my opinion the only thing that stands out is the tall black base of 32mm one.
