Chemical brothers

Posted by Kekso on 16 Jul 2020, 10:24

My humble entry to 50th Painting Competition and winner of half-bronze medal. ;-)
Base is self made. Ground and wall are made out of plaster. Pipes are made out of old sprue. Posters are printed (of course). Figures are from Lead Adventure and they're produced under the name Ottoman Chemical Squad (28mm).
I had plan to add some rusty gears on the floor... but my middle name is Lazy :xd:

This is really eye candy!
The mixture of bright, vivid colors in some places and lots of dirt and patina in others gives a very realistic impression, even if the topic itself may be ... well, not exactly "realistic".
And a very ingenious use of old sprue!

It is a fantastic entry indeed, Dali. One of my favourite. Still wondering why you posted one picture only; the first picture here is awesome. Maybe that is what Peter refer to with that "lazy"

I don't feel bad at all getting nudged out of placing by this piece. The paint work is particularly good and the extra photos really show it. You definitely deserved a place for this work Kekso.
