I'm not a big fan of painting eyes but these two figures deserve (at least) shades where eyes supposed to be.
Besides that it is one more excellent paint job from you.

But I agree with Dali (Kekso) about the eyes. A flesh wash can do the job! ;-)

for the eyes, you're right for this one, he's reading, so we can't really see his eyes, a shading could have been better.
Sometimes painting eyes is not bad at this scale ... because it gives sense.

Perhaps he can study the book with his eyes shut?
A thin streak of white and a dark dot would make those eyes pop!
