Dutch Grenadier, 1806 Airfix 1/12

Posted by paul haring on 18 Apr 2020, 14:27

This is an old Airfix figure. Had this in my stash for a loooong time. But now he's finished.
It;s the 1/12 th scale figure of the old guard. I transferred it into a Dutch soldier of the Kingdom of Holland.
I did a lot of extra detailing: the bearskin cap, the moustache, the rifle etc.
Painting is done in oils ( Mostly W&N, Rembrandt) and acrylics.
It's a huge figure, compared with 1/72 :-D

Very fine work on this figures face; I'd recognise him if I passed him on the street.

Excellent figure! Superbly detailed. I too would recognize that face anywhere. Fine piece.

Can we see some bigger pictures somewhere, Paul! The figure is to small to see all the details! :-D

Excellent work!

About the distance rule, it helps when you have a gun like that!
