Russian intervention in 1849

Posted by TK on 29 Jun 2019, 09:25

Hi,

Artur Görgei was the most success Hungarian general in 1848-49 wars. There is an exchibition for 200th anniversary of his birth in the National Museum of Hungary in Budapest.
For the exchibition, I made a 2 x 3 m size diorama about the war situation in Summer of 1849. The diorama is a 3D map of the Hungarian Kingdom in 1:300 000 scale. There are 1200 15mm (1:100) figures. 1 figures represented 500 soldiers and 1 gun represented 25 real guns.
There are 2 battles and 3 army camps mini diorama.

The exchibition is open until 20th August.

That is absolutely fabulous!.

I love to see dioramas like this in museums and I think there should be more of them.

Very well done indeed.

There is an extraordinary amount of work present here.

The painting for 15 mm is excellent too.

Well done.

Best wishes,

Chris
