De Vere's great great great great grandfather may well have written Shakespeare's plays.
The Oxfordian theory of Shakespeare authorship contends that Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, wrote the plays and poems traditionally attributed to William Shakespeare.

There is also a link between the De Vere family & Vincent Van Gogh. Does anyone know it?

Will the smaller scale planned work be medieval 1/72 scale figures? BB

Is that a typo Donald? Isn't it great great great great grandson?

It's the son bit, I can't be bothered to count the greats at this hour of the day :yeah:

I'm sure I've also seen the theory that de Vere 17th and Shakespeare were one and the same :yeah:

2 minutes later.......
Yup, here it is https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2017/oct/28/william-shakespeare-buried-westminster-abbey-alexander-waugh

So, let me get this straight.

People think Santi bears a family resemblance to William Shakespeare.

Hey!

It could be true

I've read Lope de Vega (in translation) but sadly never seen a work performed. AFAIK, they're rarely, if ever, done in English speaking countries which is a pity as he is, in every way, Shakespeare's equal.

Question: what are there so many multi-talented geniuses in the Renaissance whereas we're lucky to find people who can tie their shoes today?
