The Icecream-patrol

Posted by Susofrick on 12 Nov 2018, 08:37

The hot Egyptian sun made the general longing for something cold so he sent out a patrol. Unfortunately they ran into some European tourists on the way. And the icecream melted.

Smashing fun filled pictures Gunnar,
and well painted and presented.

There are many a story of these bubble gum toys,
and this happens to be one of them.

They all agreed that wearing a hot metal helmet was the best way of boiling ones head as hard as the average sized Egyptian brick. The General gave orders," Do not touch that large Lolly Pop Stick ! It could be booby-trapped."

Not noticing it before they looked up upon such a thing most of them had missed.
Finally...
___ "My word! Where do lolly pop stick trees grow? One feeble minded Roman asked.
They all reasoned upon that question by rolling it about in their rather hard boiled heads, because quite often is the case questions of mystifying perplexity does require it even when coming from Nit Whit.

Nit Whit ,the Legionnaire from The Lucky 13th, feeling rather cool that none could answer it, finally admitted he had dreamed of them growing next to a forest of Tongue & Grove trees ,but knew not where this land of U S A was.___ Needless to say really he was posted to be the last man of `Drag ', choking upon the dust kicked up by his highly intelligent betters.

This reminded him greatly of his dream of the great cattle drives in that far off land already mentioned.

"Gotta keep em moving on, ta cool water." Yes Nit Whit was sleep walking again.

:coffee: Gunnar, i love the pointed background too. BB

And why did I like the title so much,,, :P

Cool work Gunnar, not only the Title in this case.
These are my favorites, the Romain solders.
A bit hard to get, but looking every day.
Got over 150 painted now, a bit different colors as yours.
Like this version also, thanks my friend, I love them!

I think they need to send out another patrol, to find some ice packs for those black eyes. They might only find more black eyes though. :-D

Lovely scene, lots of warm yellow tones make it look really hot. And your bruised and battered Romans are wonderful. very nicely done. :yeah:
