Red lancer 120mm by Carl Reid

Posted by renikart on 28 Sep 2018, 13:51

Hey guys,

Still alive! It's been a while since my last post, but I have been very busy with all sorts of things which sadly hold me back on painting. Don't think I'm the only one here that knows this problem :( Sometimes I wish I could split myself into multiple persons just to get all the things done. I've put my 1/72 scaled figures in the fridge for now. It's impossible to paint them all and I don't want to force myself running the risk of killing the joy. Fortunately, this summer I picked up the brushes again and proceded with my Red Lancer model sculpted by Carl Reid and produced by Gordon Mitchell. I can finally say that it's finished! The base I found at a local hardware store, belonging to a table-decoration piece. Thought it might work ... Hope you like it!

wonderful painting; beautiful uniform, a real life face and the detail in the gold lace and braid is astonishing.

Thanks! I'm thinking of participating in the SMC in Veldhoven with this one. Not sure yet. Never done something like that before...

Superb! Rich colors and nice handling of the folds really makes this figure pop. The golden shabraque is killer. fine, fine work,
