28mm Mark I Tank

Posted by T. Dürrschmidt on 25 May 2018, 15:52

Hello!

My latest work shows one of the first tanks in WW1. Together with the colorful camo scheme and the gas masked figures it has some weird looking touch. This was the reason for me to do this.

Resinmodel: Die Waffenkammer
Figures: Mutton Chop
Grenade protection roof: scratch

Best regards from Bavaria

Thomas

Nice done.
A colorful tank for the one color mud. But this kind of camouflage happen as far as I know.
And this tank have three followers!

The wood base is made with clearcoat.
How do you fix the mud, tank, to the wooden base?
With pins in the tank and the wood?
If I do so without pins after approx. 10 years the mud start to get loose. I have do sand down the clearecoat till the natural wood is visible.

Very realistic looking tank, I thought the first picture was a photo of a real one set up as a monument somewhere.

The figures are great. Those gas masks are always really unsettling to look at.
