Posted by Eugenij on 02 May 2018, 19:58

Hallo, my dear friends!
I would show my work in 54 mm scale. It's new scale for me. And I'll be very glad to read your opinion. :-)

My response to your request for opinion:

This is brilliant. Top class, professional, and first prize winning work.

What incredible painting! Every link of the mail looks 100% authentic. the way the light reflects off the leather and the weathering on the wooden shield back are excellent and that shield design is amazing.

I fully agree with Peter but I'm better with crosswords. :xd:

Maybe I will give up painting (in despair) and take up greenhouse gardening.

And what makes you think that that is easier?

Perhaps because the heat and the soil and the water do most of the work...

About shield... My English isn't well, but I'll try.. I paint the shield in dark red. And draw leo with dark yellow (I used Vallejo Gold Brown). I filled all area of leo with gold brown. After, I depicted all details by thin dark brown lines. As a result we have flat picture. And it's need to make highlights on every small detail. For highlighting I used Vallejo gold yellow, buff and ice yellow. For highlighting on the red vermillion and salmon rose.
